I've also come into this really nice copy of the Lion annual 1976. This would have been one of the first editions after the comic was merged with Valiant. All of the familiar Fleetway characters from the Lion series are there, including:

• Steel Commando (nice colour shot of him on the inside cover shot, see photo below)
• Zip Nolan of Highway Patrol
• Robot Archie
• The Spider and the Molecule Man
• Mowser
• Spellbinder

This edition is in a really healthy condition with some minor scuffs.

• Straight, flat coverboards
• Very sharp corners to the coverboards but small bump to top right front cover.
• Spine strong and straight, with only minor bump to top and bottom
• No loose pages - binding remains strong
• Strong, vivid colours on the cover image and inside pages
• Slight tanning to the white borders of the internal pages which is normal for comics of this age
• No inscriptions
• Price unclipped (original "80p" price tag)
